When it comes to finding time to be alone with God, you may be thinking, “I’m too busy. I can’t do this.” You’re probably thinking about things that you have to get done: go to work, take care of the kids, clean house, fix meals, do washing, work on the car, mow the grass, paint the house, shovel snow, etc. etc. I get that. I know you are busy, but, consider this, Jesus was busy too. Yet he made time:
To find time to spend with God, Jesus (1) slipped away, he (2) got up early, and he (3) stayed up all night. These are possible answers to the dilemma of how we find the time. For me it is getting up very early, like at 4:00 A.M. But that doesn’t work for everyone. It may be early morning or late at night, after the kids are in bed or while the baby is taking a nap or some other time that you can create a break. Actually, there is no right/perfect answer on where or when. You need to look at what works for you but finding the time is important.
